Meet our Founder, Karthik
Karthik was born in Udumalpet, Tamil Nadu. He scored State Ranks in almost all Science subjects in State Board Exams. Then, he joined Engineering at a Premier Private College. There he cofounded a Student Group called Pasumai Vanam in 2016 within the college. Under Pasumai Vanam, he Organized and participated actively many activities like cycle rally to create awareness on Sustainable agriculture and other Environmental issues ranging from water body conservation, plastic usage, tree plantation drives, awareness on alternate medical practices and other activities aligned with vision of late Dr. Nammlavar. Disillusioned with the mainstream education lacking depth, he dropped out of the college, started to travel across Tamil nadu meeting social activist working across various walks of society. This gave him a fresh perspective of education fullfiling his thirst of education and motivated towards life long education. This experience made him work in various alternate schools across India from Maharastra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh to understanding and rectify the flaws in our education system. He then studied Sociology to understand the social structure causing inequality.
In 2020, at the height of pandemic, Union Government of India proposed a law to diluted Environmental Impact assessment often called "EIA". This law governs the regulations for Environmental impact of new Industries. Karthik, co founded a Pan-India student network called Yugma Network, against the dilution of Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA). Yugma Network was confluence of more than 100 students union across India united under a common front called Yugma against the dilution of EIA. He worked along with many other Environmental groups along with Yugma Network to create a Pan India Movement against the dilution of the law. Union Government of India received more than 20 lakh emails against this dilution, the highest feedback received for any laws in Independent India. The law was later put into backburner by Indian Government.

He, then, worked in Yugma network against dilution various environmental legislation of India such as Forest Conservation Act, Forest Rights Act, Air Act, Water Act, Biodiversity Act, Environmental protection act and Genetically Modified Food Regulations. These laws govern India's Environmental regime.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
​He, then, worked with Adivasis of Hasdeo forest in Chattisgarh against Adani groups deforesting 5 lakh forest trees. Working with the Adivasis of Hasdeo forest in Chattisgarh against Adani Groups gave a fresh understanding and experiences about the democratic structure of India. He, Started his own online Publication called "Karthik Orginals" where he works on Political Stories that are that are categorically Silenced by mainstream media. Karthik Orginals has been read more than 1000 hours and is still counting. Click here to access Karthik's Writings.​

Combining his all past work experiences, he currently works for Richhariya Foundation as a full time permanent member conserving indigeneous paddy seeds of his village.
