This paddy has been cultivated in our village for many generations. But, its cultivation was later abadanded due to monoculture and Green revolution. We revived and cultivated these endangered seeds in its natural habitat i.e our own village.  We now conserve these seeds at our farm. This rice is celebrated in classical Tamil literature for its distinctive flavor and nutritional value.
