The purple colour makes this rice with its sticky nature sets this rice apart from other Indigenous rice varieties. This rice has its own taste very different from regular rice. This rice grain is processed with the outer bran layer intact. This makes this rice ideal for nutritional needs. This rice is cooked and eaten with pork and beef by local communities. The rice is known for its unique taste and sticky texture.This is a type of Japonica rice commonly cultivated in South east Asia and adapted to temperate climate of south east asia.
